You need at least 2 to 3 ‘Right Side’ strategies to use when tables are ‘Hot’, 1 to 2 ‘Don’t Side’ strategies to use when tables are ‘Cold’, and at least 1 conservative, low money strategy to use (if you bet at all) to use when tables are ‘Choppy’. One strategy that often works on a cold or choppy table is a hedge strategy. You start with a bet of $15 on the Don't pass. I typically don't insure it with an any seven or a YO bet because you can't afford the house edge when you are playing tight.

When I first start to play, I watch therolls of the first two shooters. If they are throwing only a few numbers before they sevenout or only make one point before sevening out, I determine that the table is choppy orturning cold. I then adjust my bets accordingly.
If there are a lot of numbers being thrown before the shootersevens out, I make two $6 place bets on the six and eight, even if it's the point. I takeboth place bets down after the first hit or when the dice have been rolled for six times.
Another betting strategy is to make the place bets onthe six and eight, and if the shooter throws one of your numbers within thefirst three rolls, you would leave the bet working and start your count over.Anytime your number isn't thrown after three rolls, prepare to take them down onthe sixth roll. If, during the course of the shooters roll, a four or ten is thrown, I make a no four orno ten bet for $40. I leave the no four or no ten bet up until a seven is thrown or I losethe bet. Be mindful of how many times a four and ten show up. Sometimes there is apreponderance of one number. If so, don't make a no four or no ten on that number. You canmake two $5 don't come bets after four rolls instead.
If the shooters are sevening out after a few rolls, I'll make two$5 don't come bets and lay full odds if either one is a four or a ten.
I don't make a pass/don't pass line bet in either case.
I'll continue to bet this way until a shooter makes two passes ina row. When that happens, I start to bet the hot system.
If two shooters in a row seven out, I start to bet the coldsystem.

Craps can be an extremely unforgiving game while at the exact same time can also be a potentially lucrative game if you know what you’re doing. Shooters are only making an occasionalpoint. Not many numbers are being thrown. You determine that the table isgetting cold.
You make two $6 place bets on the six and eight andwill take them down after one hit or six rolls. The shooter throws an eight onthe first roll so you take your bets down. Shooter sevens out on the secondroll.
Thinking that the table is getting colder you startmaking don't come bets after the next shooter establishes a point. You have adon't come on the five and a don't come on the four. You lay full odds on thefour. Shooter sevens out. You win.
