Part of the huge popularity of playing online comes from the many ways players can win real cash fast. While there are countless strategies out there, the most successful and easiest to learn is “regression betting” in the game of Craps. The idea behind regression betting is that you hit big on your wins, and avoid losses whenever possible in order to make a splash. This video covers a craps betting strategy called the Classic Regression, a Place craps 6 8 strategy. It covers the placing the 6 and 8 for two units and reg.
There are many variations to the 132 Inside Regression Strategy based on using either more aggressive or more conservative starting wagers and altering the number of hits that trigger an action, but we’ll look at the $132 starting strategy that seems to be most popular at the tables.
After the point is established, you place the (5) & (9) for $30 each and the (6) & (8) for $36 each for a total investment of $132. After 2 hits, you regress your bets down to a total of $66 ($15 on the (5) & (9) and $18 on the (6) & (8). After 2 more hits, you regress your bets again down to $44 ($10 on the (5) & (9) and $12 on the (6) & (8).
From here, you have a number of different options including taking your bets down, letting it ride, or increasing your wagers as your numbers hit.
The goal of the 132 Inside Regression Strategy is to collect big up front and immediately start lessening your risk as the prospects of a 7 increase as the rolls continue.
Let’s take a look at how it works.
After the point is established
Place the (5) & (9) for $30 each, place the (6) & (8) for $36 each – Total $132
- Collect $42 on your first hit – rack the winnings
- Collect $42 on your second hit – rack it
- You’ve now collected $84 in winnings on your 2 hits
- Reduce your place bets to $15 (5) & (9) and $18 (6) & (8) – Total $66
- Now, even if the (7) hits, you’ll have a net win of $18
- Collect $21 on your third hit – rack it
- Collect $21 on your fourth hit – rack it
- You’ve now collected an additional $42 in winnings for a net of $126
- Reduce your bets again to $10 (5) & (9) and $12 (6) & (8) – Total $44
- If the (7) hits, you’ll have won $126, lost $44 for a net $82 in winnings
- From here, if the (7) hasn’t hit yet, you have a number of different options
- Let it ride through the rest of the shooter’s rolls
- Take it all down after a predetermined number of hits
- Use a ‘collect and press’ strategy for the rest of the roll, or
- Any other strategy you’re comfortable with
For the short term, this strategy has its own advantages and disadvantages, but keep in mind, no strategy can alter the ‘house edge’ (casino advantage) in the long term.
Advantages
- Effectively reduces your risk after 2 hits and puts you in the win column after your first regression
- Works great on hot and warm tables and sometimes works on choppy table
- No contract bets (PL/Come) are utilized, so you can take your bets down anytime you want
- Keeps you in the game to take advantage of hot rollers
Disadvantages
- Big upfront investment risking $132 on the first rolls after the come out
- Needs a bigger bankroll to support several early Point 7 Outs
- No Pass Line bet so you can’t use this strategy when you have the dice
- Horrible for cold or cold/choppy tables
Aside from the early, up-front risk, this strategy has its merits, and it’s worked for a great many craps players in the right situations.
As always, experiment with this system and see if it fits your style of play and risk tolerance before putting actual money on the table. Also, before using this strategy, ensure your bankroll can support it.
