Iowa Temporary Gambling License
All persons participating in any capacity in a excursion gambling boat/gambling structure/racetrack casino are required to obtain an occupational license from the Commission. A license is valid for three calendar years. All licenses are temporary until the completion of required background investigations.
Each applicant must complete and sign an application form prescribed and published by the Commission and pay a license fee set by the Commission, as well as any other associated fees that may apply.
However, beginning January 9, 2021, all noncommercial Iowa driver’s licenses will be subject to the expiration date printed on the license. All Iowa driver’s licenses have a 60-day grace period following the printed expiration date that allows it to be used for driving purposes in Iowa (Please note: temporary foreign nationals are not.
Iowa Temporary Gambling License Requirements
- Applicant must not hold another active resident license in another state or a non-resident license in Iowa. Boxes are allowed for mailing addresses only. - NOTE: Only one application is required for all boats, trains and planes operating in the state by the licensee.
